The five cost pools

What goes in each pool?

A chart of accounts is the structured list of every account your books use to record revenue, costs, assets, and liabilities. For a government contractor, those accounts roll up into five cost pools, and that pool structure is what the rest of your compliance rests on.

Tap a pool to see the accounts inside it, and the test for what belongs there.

Account ranges follow the CPA-reviewed 147-account template.
